Job Description

Overview:

Aviation specialist troubleshoots, repairs, and/or overhauls, and tests aircraft components to include the removal and reinstallation of all sub-components . Receives technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician.

Responsibilities:

• Work involves: disassembly, cleaning, inspection, and test of those components serviced and piece parts by the repair station manual.
• Applies technical knowledge of aircraft components in determining equipment malfunctions.
• Applies required expertise in restoring equipment condition and or operation.
• Applies comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems by interpreting technical documentation such as blueprints or manufacturers’ manuals.
• Will be required to make entries in work order documentation for work performed.
• Provides other duties as needed and assigned.
• Understand and perform functions in accordance with FAA, EASA, AS9110, and ISO9001:2016 Standards.

Required Skills:

• High School diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree preferred.
• 5+ years actual and recent experience in the troubleshooting, repairing, overhauling, and testing aircraft components.
• Hands-on experience with Disassembly, cleaning, inspection, and reassembly of aircraft parts.
• Experience with hydraulic systems and pneumatic tools
• Knowledge of and compliance with FAA, EASA, AS9110, and ISO9001:2016 standards
• Knowledge of reading micrometers, dials, gauges, and interpreting precision measurements
