SDFC and Right to Dream are committed to creating the premier training environment for our athletes. We focus on maintaining high-quality facilities that enhance player development and provide an enjoyable experience for visitors. Our state-of-the-art training complex features multiple natural and artificial grass fields that require dedicated care and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the head groundskeeper in the upkeep of three natural and two artificial turf fields. Support in all cultural practices for natural and artificial fields.
• Implement turfgrass fertility and pest control.
• Assist with full field blankets and weather-related situations.
• Maintain and repair irrigation system throughout the training complex.
• Collaborate with the academy manager and coaches to manage field usage for optimal playing conditions.
• Mark and line fields for trainings and games.
• Maintaining a clean work environment and field equipment.
• Perform weekly field tests and manage data.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Previous experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping, ideally in a professional sports facility.
• Familiarity with turf management practices and irrigation systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude for equipment maintenance and repair.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Professional, self-motivated team player with the ability to work independently.

Special Requirements of the Job:

• Capable of working in various outdoor weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and rain
• Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently throughout the workday
• Must be able to perform demanding tasks, including standing, bending, kneeling, and squatting for extended periods
• Flexibility to assist with additional facility maintenance tasks as needs
• Must respond to time-sensitive matters and monitor company communications effectively
