Job Title: Azure Databricks Architect

Location: Atlanta, GA, Dallas, TX, Kansas City

Term: Contract

Job Description:

• 10+ years Preferred to Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering/Computer Science.
• Strong understanding of Azure concepts and Experience with Azure platforms. Intermediate knowledge on Linux and Windows OS administration activities.
• Mandatory to have Microsoft Azure certification. Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.
• Good communication skills,Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Review of existing architecture improvements.
• Define platform roadmaps and strategy.

Responsibilities:

• End to End Management of IAAS, PAAS and SAAS Services in AZURE.
• Provisioning or Deprovisioning through infrastructure as code.
• Configuration management using CICD tools like Gitlab or Azure Devops.
• Review and ensure security and governance violations are addressed on azure platform.
• Ensure monitoring and alerting tools in place.
• Ensure SOX and security compliance are taken care.
• Ensure proper tagging of resources for accurate chargeback for Cloud spend across teams.
• Network configuration, including TCP/IP, Domain Name System (DNS), virtual private networks (VPNs), firewalls, and encryption technologies.
• Active Directory concepts, including domains, forests, domain controllers, replication, Kerberos protocol, and Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP).
• Resilience and disaster recovery, including backup and restore operations.
• Automation of repeated operations in scripting languages like python or powershell.
• Review and recommend Performance & cost optimizations.
• Kubernetes/Databricks cluster management activities.
• Consolidate and present periodic Status reports to Leadership.
• Review current Cloud platform architecture and recommend Third-party tools & accelerators across Azure stack
• Provide recommendation for sustainable and scalable re-architecture and technology landscape that help to mitigate key risks
• Define Platform Roadmap and Strategy
