This onsite position is for a full-time Bookkeeper in our Downtown Los Angeles office, working directly under our Bookkeeping and Operations Manager and our Senior Manager. This position involves high-level office administrative duties outside of bookkeeping, designed to assist in the daily operations of our forensic accounting firm.
Qualifications Include:
-Bachelor’s degree required.
-Bookkeeping experience required.
-Extensive experience and high-level abilities with Microsoft Excel.
-Extensive experience and high-level abilities with Microsoft Word.
-Excellent verbal and written professional communication skills.
-Excellent organizational skills.
-Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
-Moderate IT skills.
-Experience at a professional firm including accounting firms or law firms is a plus.
-Experience with payroll and HR procedures is a plus.
Responsibilities will Include:
-Maintaining a complex executive company calendar.
-Preparing engagement letters and performing conflict checks.
-Preparing and maintaining a variety of spreadsheets including productivity reports.
-Coordinating logistics for meetings including setting up Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and dial-in information.
-Assisting in the preparation and due diligence of monthly invoicing.
-Assisting in tracking A/R and A/P.
-Assisting in tracking and maintaining client budgets.
-Answering and directing phone calls for the firm.
-Assisting with firm projects, improvements, and implementation of new systems for the firm.
Salary & Benefits:
The starting pay for this position is between $65,000 - $80,000. Engel & Engel offers benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, profit sharing plan, bonuses, paid time off, professional development, parking, and a variety of other perks.
Additional Details:
Must live in Los Angeles-county and be able to commute to our downtown Los Angeles office.
