Job Description

Our client, a leading studio in the strategy and simulation game space, is seeking a C++ Engine Developer to contribute to the evolution of their high-performance proprietary game engine. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on building and optimizing the foundational systems that power large-scale, real-time gameplay.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain core engine systems including rendering, memory management, threading, file I/O, and scene management.
• Collaborate closely with Graphics, Gameplay, and Tools engineers to support performance and scalability across all engine layers.
• Optimize engine systems for multi-core performance, memory efficiency, and real-time responsiveness.
• Assist in evolving the engine architecture to meet the needs of current and future titles.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to long-term engine code quality and maintainability.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in C++ systems or engine development for games or simulations.
• Strong understanding of modern C++ (C++17/20) and low-level systems programming.
• Experience with multi-threading, performance profiling, and debugging.
• Proven ability to design and optimize systems for **real-time interactive applications.
• Comfortable working in large, complex codebases and contributing to core infrastructure.

Bonus Skills:

• Familiarity with DirectX 12, Vulkan, or custom rendering backends.
• Experience in engine architecture, build systems, or cross-platform development.
• Previous work on RTS or large-scale simulation titles.
