COMPANY SUMMARY
Key Mechanical is a commercial refrigeration and HVAC contractor with nearly 70 years of history serving customers along the west coast. It is a privately held, multi-generation operated business with its main office in Kent, Washington, and branch locations in Oregon and California. The Company provides design, construction, equipment and ongoing maintenance services, as well as equipment sales. Key’s refrigeration clients include Costco, Safeway, Kroger, Trader Joe’s and various other national and regional chains, the Marine Division services the Department of Defense, Washington State and the State of Alaska. Examples of Commercial HVAC projects include the Fifth and Yesler, Third and Harrison and the 333 Elliott buildings.

POSITION SUMMARY
The CFO is responsible for the financial and accounting management of the company and reports to the owners of the business. The CFO will manage the accounting and customer billing group of approximately 20 employees. The CFO will be a member of the senior leadership team and will also be responsible for managing the relationships with outside professional services providers.
QUALIFICATIONS SUMMARY
Bachelor’s degree with a major in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration. A CPA (does not have to be current) is preferred.
Equally skilled in accounting operations management and FP&A.
Skilled at developing and monitoring key indicators in the commercial construction industry and presenting and explaining meaningful financial performance to a management team and department leaders.
Experience working in a project oriented business as well as a business that provides services to businesses.
Experience in an owner operated business.
Skilled at managing external professional service relationships (lenders, insurance brokers, CPA).
Prior experience as a CFO (stand alone company or divisional CFO).
Experience working on systems implementations (replacements or significant upgrades).
