Chief Instructor Pilot

Position Overview

This is more than a compliance-based role. The Chief Instructor Pilot must lead by example—championing safety, consistency, professionalism, and integrity. Your leadership will define the culture and set the tone for a high-performing instructional team.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and audit all instructional records and ensure compliance with FAR Part 61 and 141 requirements.
• Lead weekly standardization meetings with CFIs and oversee continual training and safety reinforcement.
• Review student progress in collaboration with flight and ground instructors to ensure high-quality, consistent instruction.
• Deliver instructor coaching and mentoring to cultivate a positive, high-performance teaching culture.
• Qualify instructors for Assistant Chief and Check Pilot roles.
• Ensure adequate staffing levels of MEIs and CFIIs.
• Enforce Emergency Action Protocols and uphold the highest training standards.

Qualifications

• Commercial or ATP Pilot License
• Current CFI, CFII, and MEI certifications
• Minimum 2,000 hours Pilot in Command (PIC)
• Minimum 1,500 hours of Dual Given time
• Full compliance with CFR 141.35(d)
