Job Description

Primary Purpose:

Support Area campuses with all LPAC processes to ensure that all campuses meet state and federal compliance. Verify and maintain all LPAC documentation at the area level.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Associate’s Degree preferred

Special Knowledge/Skills:

  • Bilingual: English and Spanish
  • Uses computer, printer, copier, scanner, calculator
  • Proficient in the use of Excel, Word, Zoom, Email
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Must be highly organized & detail-oriented

Experience:

Related experience preferred

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

LPAC Compliance

1. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal law governing English learners for all campuses in the area.

2. Be familiar with all LPAC processes to verify and organize LPAC documentation at area level.

3. Verify and review PEIMS coding in Skyward on a regular basis for all area campuses.

4. Follow required processes according to the LPAC Manual for identification, placement, and review of all students in the Bilingual/ESL programs within PEIMS and district timelines.

5. Attend, gather & present information regarding all ILTexas LPAC processes & procedures

6. Perform LPAC documentation audits for all campuses within the area to ensure 100% compliance with LPAC documentation

7. Attend mandatory staff development activities as needed to perform job functions and to improve performance.

8. Attend regularly scheduled meetings with other campus LPAC clerks for training and networking purposes.

9. Collaborate with EL coordinators and campus LPAC team to ensure accurate coding of Bilingual/ ESL students.

10. Assist campus LPAC administrator with all LPAC documentation needed for ELs.

11. Be familiar with the instructional accommodation’s checklist for ELs and generate completion reports.

12. Monitor & update NSOE reports for each campus and review TREX information to ensure EL/EP students are identified & coded in a timely manner.

13. Support campuses with any EL/EP code changes as needed.

14. Use Excel & other online platforms to compile & review reports & documents of all Bilingual/ESL students participating in the program.

15. Be familiar with all platforms where information of ELs is kept to ensure compliance with LPAC documentation.

OLPT Testing

16. Be familiar with LAS and IOWA testing to provide support to campus as needed.

17. Administer the OLPT test if necessary.

18. Collaborate with campus LPAC Administrator and OLPT testers to ensure accurate student data for all decision-making processes.

Other

19. Attend mandatory staff development activities as needed to perform job functions and to improve performance.

20. Maintain a professional level of confidentiality concerning personnel and students.

21. Travel to campuses within the area to meet with the campus LPAC team.

22. Support HQ with Family and Parent Outreach events for English Learners.

23. Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.

24. Any and all other duties as assigned by your immediate supervisor.
