Job Description

Solu is currently seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused After Market Customer Service Representative to join our client’s team. This position plays a critical role in supporting customers through proactive communication, order processing, and aftermarket service coordination. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, possess excellent communication skills, and have the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This role also provides an opportunity to engage in sales efforts, assist field service operations, and contribute to ongoing customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for customers via phone, email, fax, and mail.
  • Process quotations and sales orders using the Visual Manufacturing System.
  • Track and follow up on order status, informing customers of any delays or changes.
  • Collaborate with Field Service Personnel to support service needs and field operations.
  • Provide support to fellow Customer Service team members with data collection, file scanning, and special projects.
  • Occasionally visit customer sites, especially for large projects or product line familiarization.
  • Act as a liaison between Engineering and customers to develop retrofit solutions for older equipment.
  • Research historical equipment documentation to assist customers in ordering spare or replacement parts.
  • Actively seek new business opportunities by promoting spare parts sales and maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Resolve customer concerns efficiently and professionally, ensuring a high level of satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of customer service, inside sales, or order processing experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with ERP or MRP systems; familiarity with Visual Manufacturing System is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work independently.
  • Basic technical aptitude or willingness to learn product/equipment specifications.
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial equipment, or aftermarket parts/service industries is a plus.
  • Occasional travel may be required for on-site customer visits.
