Job Description

Job Summary:

As a Controls & Digitalization Cyber Security Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our control systems and digital solutions in the energy sector. You will work closely with clients to assess their cyber security needs, implement security measures, and provide ongoing support and training. Your expertise will help safeguard critical infrastructure against cyber threats while enhancing operational efficiency. Also, you will be responsible for carrying out cybersecurity assessments, reviews, consultation, and recommendations of cybersecurity standards with focus on NERC-CIP requirements.

Other possible responsibilities include:

  • Support projects with secure design and engineering guidance to ensure secure and compliant systems for security services
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver excellent customer experience
  • Use, manage, and maintain OT/ICS SIEM including data collection, data normalization, visualization, and detection
  • Provide technical analysis and guidance on control systems security trends
  • Assist Procurement on hardware/license requirements needed to support Cyber portfolio
  • Documentation and white papers on NERC CIP standards
  • Configure, test, and support cyber solutions for control system in a Factory setting and onsite as needed
  • Back Office security evaluations, including generating reports to deliver to Customer

Key Responsibilities:

1. Cyber Security Assessments:

  • Conduct comprehensive cyber security assessments of control systems and digital solutions.
  • Identify vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.

2. Implementation of Security Measures:

  • Design and implement cyber security solutions tailored to client needs.
  • Configure firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other security tools.

3. Field Service Support:

  • Provide on-site support for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of cyber security solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve security-related issues in real-time.

4. Training and Documentation:

  • Develop and deliver training programs for clients on cyber security best practices.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to security policies, procedures, and incident response plans.

5. Collaboration:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, IT, and operations, to ensure a holistic approach to cyber security.
  • Liaise with clients to understand their specific requirements and provide tailored solutions.

6. Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Monitor security systems for potential threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Prepare reports on security incidents, assessments, and compliance with industry standards.

7. Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay updated on the latest cyber security trends, threats, and technologies.
  • Contribute to the development of best practices and standard operating procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field, or equivalent experience in related fields.
  • Proven experience in cyber security, particularly in industrial control systems (ICS) and operational technology (OT).
  • Familiarity with relevant cyber security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, IEC 62443).
  • Strong understanding of network security, firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Experience with security assessment tools and methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and team members.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites as required (70%)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or similar.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to cyber security in the energy sector.
