About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and collaborative Director-level leader to oversee the delivery of complex data centre design and engineering projects. This role is embedded within a specialist data centre team, working across both Hyperscale and Colocation projects in close partnership with enterprise and commercial clients.

You will act as the primary point of contact for a strategic client, responsible for managing technical delivery, commercial governance, and coordinating multidisciplinary design and engineering teams.

This is a high-impact leadership opportunity with the scope to shape the future of data centre project delivery within a global consulting and engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of data centre projects from a delivery, technical, and commercial perspective.
• Serve as the senior interface to the client, ensuring alignment, trust, and long-term strategic partnership.
• Drive commercial performance, manage risk, and ensure compliance with internal governance processes.
• Coordinate delivery across architecture, engineering, and external supply chain stakeholders.
• Ensure quality, consistency, and technical excellence across all project phases.
• Chair project meetings, manage reporting cycles, and communicate key metrics to executive stakeholders.
• Oversee resource planning, resolve technical challenges, and maintain project momentum.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Chartered Engineer or equivalent experience, with deep technical knowledge of data centre design and delivery.
• Demonstrated success leading multi-disciplinary teams across AEC, MEP, and structural engineering disciplines.
• Strong client relationship skills with a track record of engaging at senior levels on high-value projects.
• Proven commercial acumen and the ability to manage project profitability, scope, and risk.
• Skilled in fast-paced, digitally enabled project environments with matrixed delivery teams.

Key Requirements

• Deep understanding of building systems, codes, and construction methods relevant to data centre environments.
• Proficient in tools such as Revit, Microsoft Office, and collaborative project management platforms.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver consistently in complex, multi-project environments.
