Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital
Henry Mayo is a 357-bed, not-for-profit community hospital and trauma center serving the Santa Clarita Valley in Southern California. Henry Mayo is fully accredited by DNV and has approximately 1,900 employees, 590+ medical staff representing 71 specialties and subspecialties. The 24/7 Emergency Department saw nearly 70,000 visits in 2023 and nearly 1,500 babies were delivered in their highly regarded maternity department. In addition, Henry Mayo is an advanced primary stroke center, level II trauma center, and STEMI heart attack receiving center.
The Position
Director of Care Management
Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President/Chief Financial Officer, the Director of Care Management oversees the Care Management and Social Services departments. In this role, the Director establishes best practice programs to ensure effective and efficient coordination of patient care in accordance with clinical, organizational, and other applicable guidelines and standards. The Director seeks treatments that balance clinical and financial concerns with a family’s needs and the patient’s quality of life. Additionally, the Director contributes to the development and improvement of clinical care pathways that enhance cost effectiveness while providing quality care. The Director establishes outstanding rapport and coordinates with physicians, clinicians, health plans, and local providers such as skilled nursing facilities, long-term care facilities, home health agencies, and ambulance companies.
Experience/Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in nursing required with Master’s degree preferred
•Minimum five (5) years of progressive experience in a management or administrative capacity in hospital case/care management
• Current California RN license required and specialty certification(s) in the area of Case Management and/or Administration is preferred
Compensation
For the selected candidate, a complete and competitive compensation package will be offered which includes a target salary range of $200K+, incentive bonus, sign-on bonus, major insurances, PTO, retirement, and relocation reimbursement.
