POSITION TITLE: Esports Coach/Professor
LOCATION: Panola College, Carthage Campus
EMPLOYMENT TERM: Full time - 10-month position
BEGINNING DATE: Negotiable
RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop an Esports team at Panola College. Guide and develop competitive gamers. Focus on improving individual skills, team strategies, and overall performances in specific video game. This
involves training, analyzing gameplay, developing strategies, organizing a team and scheduling
competitions and practices, managing player expectations, while also adhering to the rules and policies
of the NJCAAE or other organizations that Panola College joins for esports. This position will report
directly to the Director of Athletics. The position will also be required to teach specific computer
classes according to their qualifications.

QUALIFICATIONS: A Master’s degree is required, with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in a specific discipline. Teaching responsibilities within the candidate’s current discipline will be required. Preference will be given to candidates with graduate coursework in computer science or a willingness to pursue at least 18graduate hours in a computer science–related field.
COMPENSATION: Salary commensurate with education and experience.
