Project Manager – Environmental Permitting & Compliance - Consultancy - Miami/Fort Lauderdale

About the Role

We are seeking a Project Manager specializing in Environmental Permitting and Compliance to join the Florida based team. This role is key to ensuring regulatory compliance across multiple environmental media, such as air, wastewater, stormwater, and waste management. You will guide staff, prepare permits and plans, and build strong client relationships while contributing to impactful projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare permits and compliance programs for air, wastewater, stormwater, waste, and storage tanks.
• Conduct multi-media environmental compliance audits, gap assessments, and inspections.
• Develop and manage monitoring and spill prevention programs (SPCC, SWPPP, FRP, etc.).
• Lead and mentor junior staff on project assignments.
• Manage project budgets, proposals, and client relationships.
• Deliver high-quality technical documents, including reports, plans, and permit applications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on projects across the U.S.

About You:

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering/Science (Master’s preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in environmental permitting and regulatory compliance.
• Professional certification and 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification preferred.
• Strong project management and multitasking skills, with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple clients and projects, with a focus on responsiveness and customer service.
• Reliable transportation for client meetings and site visits, with a valid driver’s license.
