The Field Service Engineer (FSE) is primarily responsible for technical support, repairing and servicing products (orthopedic equipment) in the field throughout the United States. The Field Service Engineer provides highly visible customer support through the performance of on-site installation, as well as overseeing any necessary diagnoses, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex equipment and systems, and performing preventive maintenance as required. Checks out and approves operational quality of system equipment, instructs customers in the operation and maintenance of the system. Serves as company liaison with customer on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects. Interprets customers' needs and clarifies if the responsibility for problem resolution falls to sales personnel, customer support representatives, or Engineers.
Details:
• $90-$100k base salary based on education, experience-level, years of experience, and other factors.
• $15k yearly bonus potential that is paid out quarterly.
• Must sit in the Greater San Francisco Bay area and willing to travel within the territory.

Must-Have Skills & Qualifications:
• Associates degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-5+ years of experience preferably within Field Service Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience working with robotic based mechanical products/devices.
• Experience with troubleshooting, maintenance, and installing large products/equipment. Essential
Job Functions:
• Troubleshoot, service, and repair surgical tables and related equipment at hospital customer site. Conduct preventive maintenance while servicing equipment and machinery.
• Support and promote company programs, contract sales, and initiatives as directed.
• Create and deliver accurate quotes based on company guidelines and procedures. Clearly complete service forms for hospital through company established systems.
• Operate table system to demonstrate equipment and to analyze malfunctions.
• Instruct and direct workers at customer sites in servicing and repairing equipment.
• Consult with engineering personnel to resolve unusual problems in system operation and maintenance.
• May advise management regarding customer satisfaction, product performance, and suggestions for product improvements.
• Understand, support and follow the Corporate Vision, Mission & Values Statements.
• Support company goals and objectives.
• Understand, follow and support internal Quality System policies, procedures and work instructions including but not limited to applicable external regulations (21 Code of Federal Regulations Part 820 Quality System Regulations and applicable International Standards)
