Job Description

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly analytical, detail-oriented, and growth-minded Finance Manager to join our finance team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the financial strength and operational success of a diverse, multi-division organization spanning aviation, agriculture, and emerging business lines. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in financial reporting and operational finance and will thrive in a dynamic, hands-on environment.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with ASPE.
  • Communicate key financial trends and results to internal stakeholders (Department Leaders, DOF, CFO, COO, CEO, VP).
  • Perform variance analysis and deliver actionable insights that support decision-making.
  • Build and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives.

Operational Finance Oversight

  • Oversee core accounting functions: payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month-end close.
  • Collaborate with external auditors, banks, and tax advisors to support audits and ensure compliance.
  • Analyze cost drivers such as sales forecasts, labor, and overhead rates to support pricing and profitability reviews.

Strategic Support & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with operational leaders on pricing strategies, contract evaluations, capital planning, and inventory management.
  • Participate in performance reviews and planning sessions with senior leadership.
  • Provide industry trend analysis and assess implications for business strategy and investment.

Process Improvement & Systems

  • Identify opportunities to streamline reporting and enhance data accuracy.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives within finance and related operations.
  • Support ERP system enhancements, financial automation projects, and dashboard/report development.
  • Refine and monitor KPIs to align finance with broader organizational goals.

Insurance, Risk & Compliance

  • Lead the financial review of annual insurance renewals (property, liability, civil aviation, cargo, workers’ compensation).
  • Ensure strong internal controls, audit readiness, and compliance with applicable regulations.

Team Collaboration & Leadership

  • Supervise and mentor finance staff (if applicable), promoting a high-performance, accountable culture.
  • Represent finance in cross-functional initiatives and site-level projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CPA preferred).
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles; experience in multi-entity environments is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of ASPE and regulatory frameworks; exposure to IFRS/US GAAP is beneficial.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and operational analysis.
  • Strong proficiency in ERP systems and financial tools (e.g., NetSuite, Power BI, Excel).
  • Excellent communication, business acumen, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Why Join Us?

This position is an opportunity to take ownership of local financial operations in a dynamic facility, while being part of a larger team with cross-divisional exposure. If you thrive in an operationally focused role and enjoy working closely with both finance and frontline teams, this role offers the right balance of independence, impact, and professional challenge—without the pressure of a senior leadership track.
