Role: HR Manager

Location: Nashville, TN

Hybrid/On-site/Remote: Hybrid (On-site 3 days a week)

This role will lead and manage all aspects of the human resources function, playing a crucial part in fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performing culture as the company continues to grow.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment & Onboarding: Administer the complete talent acquisition process, encompassing job postings, sourcing, interviewing, and offer negotiations. Manage a streamlined and engaging onboarding experience to ensure new hires feel welcomed, informed, and well-prepared for success.
  • HR Operations & Compliance: Develop, manage, and continuously improve HR policies, procedures, and the employee handbook. Track and manage PTO, leaves of absence, and attendance-related policies. Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
  • Employee Relations: Serve as a trusted point of contact for employees, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and mediating conflicts. Guide and support managers in navigating employee relations, performance concerns, and professional development. Manage employee investigations, disciplinary actions, and terminations. Support leadership with organizational planning, role clarity, and team structure. Develop and implement employee training and development programs. Champion a positive, values-driven workplace culture that fosters team engagement, belonging, and high performance.
  • HR Strategy & Reporting: Identify opportunities to enhance HR systems and tools. Provide regular reports and insightful analysis on key HR metrics (headcount, turnover, engagement, etc.). Stay informed about HR best practices and emerging trends to continuously evolve the people strategy.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a standalone or HR leadership capacity.
  • Strong working knowledge of a broad range of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Prior experience working in a marketing/advertising agency is a must.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication (both written and verbal), analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and capable of effectively managing multiple priorities.
  • Experience with HRIS tools, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and benefits administration platforms.
  • Excellent command of English grammar and spelling.
  • Ability to maintain composure and effectiveness under pressure.
  • Demonstrated ability to think independently, anticipate needs, and proactively seek learning and growth opportunities.
  • Must lead by example and cultivate a supportive and inclusive environment for the agency.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite and Apple Keynote.
  • Proven ability to handle and safeguard confidential and proprietary information with utmost sensitivity.
  • Able and willing to work during non-business hours as needed to fulfill job responsibilities.
  • Must be based in Nashville, TN.
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (HR certification such as SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR is a plus).
