Job Title: IT Procurement Consultant

Location: Hybrid in Rosemont, Illinois

Duration: 6 Month Contract (potential for extension)

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Swoon has an exciting contract opportunity with an electronics manufacturing client, who is actively seeking an IT Procurement Consultant to join their team. This role will provide strategic and operational support across global IT procurement functions, including vendor management, contract negotiation, and software licensing. The ideal candidate has deep experience managing IT sourcing initiatives and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Your responsibilities will include:

• Support the IT Procurement and Vendor Management teams with day-to-day operations and strategic sourcing initiatives
• Collaborate closely with IT leadership to fulfill procurement needs including contract renewals, negotiations, and new vendor onboarding
• Ensure compliance with corporate procurement policies and global standards
• Lead or support complex vendor/software/service provider selection processes, including RFPs, contract negotiation, SLA definition, and governance
• Manage a broad range of IT contracts, including hardware, software, SaaS, consulting services, HR support, and digital marketing
• Negotiate software licensing agreements and oversee renewals, audits, and usage compliance

QUALIFICATIONS

• 7–10 years of global IT procurement and vendor management experience
• Deep expertise in IT contracts, including software/SaaS, licensing, and consulting services
• Proven ability to lead complex sourcing and negotiation processes
• Strong knowledge of SLA management, contract governance, and change management
• Experience in supplier relationship management and vendor performance monitoring
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities independently
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, data analysis) and PowerPoint (executive-level presentations)
• Prior experience working in a global organization or manufacturing environment preferred
