About the Role

We are seeking a Business Analyst – Project Lead to support large-scale healthcare technology initiatives. This role involves evaluating agency needs, analyzing business processes, and translating requirements into actionable solutions. Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between business programs and IT teams to deliver solutions.
• Analyze operations to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for automation.
• Document and redesign business processes for new technology implementations.
• Translate high-level business requirements into functional specifications.
• Facilitate communication between business units and IT from requirements to implementation.
• Provide requirements interpretation and guidance to technical and test teams.
• Document and analyze data requirements and relationships.
• Participate in requirements management (change control, versioning, traceability).
• Identify risks, issues, and recommend solutions.
• Interact with vendors, government agencies, providers, and stakeholders.
• Research and maintain business rules, requirements, and models.
• Contribute to buy vs. build decisions.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in commercial healthcare.
• 3+ years of experience in State Medicaid payer system integration and delivery.
• Experience with cross-functional project delivery.
• Familiarity with Medicaid Information Technology Architecture (MITA) business architecture principles.
• Knowledge of standard data structures, electronic data interchange (EDI), and related file formats.
• Strong ability to innovate business processes, methods, and technology.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills across all organizational levels.
• Ability to work effectively in a diverse, professional office environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail.

Preferred Skills

• Subject matter expertise in Medicaid or other healthcare insurance (projects or operations).
• MMIS (Medicaid Management Information System) experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project / Project Server.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical, business, or healthcare-related field.
