The Role

Guest House is quickly becoming the household name for home staging across the US. We’re building the playbook for Stylists to install home stagings with ease. Guest House is in search of a Super-Stylist to install homes in our California market. The Lead Stylist will support the General Manager (GM) by executing stagings according to the Guest House playbook and styling standards. Own the style vision that completes the Design for the home, and execute that vision on-site in homes across the San Diego metro area. This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing start-up, and flex your styling expertise to build something big with us. 

As Lead Stylist, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Grow the market through consistent, on-brand, and on-time staging delivery
  • Stage or de-stage at least 5 homes per week during peak season, on your own or with support from an assistant stylist for larger jobs.
  • Own stagings from decor curation & packing, to installation, to re-racking decor after de-install, using the Guest House staging playbook, in accordance with brand standards. 
  • Be the face of the brand on-site, by providing timely communication and proactively resolving issues to ensure satisfaction
  • Be a rockstar project manager: kick-off projects with Clients to understand needs, scheduling with vendors, keep all project details documented, and move projects along to meet deadlines.
  • Support the Gm with warehouse organization and other tasks when stagings are light.

  • Strong styling skills and eye for design with 5+ years of interior design or home staging experience
  • Coachable and excited to be mentored by a General Manager with 13+ years of Design experience
  • Owner mind-set, solution-based and results oriented 
  • Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills - be the face of the brand to Customers on-site, and a supportive partner to our moving team and other partners. 
  • Ability to recognize areas of improvement and make changes using good judgment
  • Highly organized, strong attention to detail, expert time management and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Someone who embraces hard work and hustle, and loves being on-location styling homes.
  • This is a full-time position. Candidate must be able to work a flexible schedule balancing working on-location in the San Diego area, and at the San Diego warehouse Monday through Friday. 
  • Interior Design degree or license preferred.

Compensation

$55k base salary, employee equity, and travel reimbursement. Plus, benefits including healthcare coverage, generous PTO, and more.
