Job Title: Machinist (Open Tool Mills & Lathes)

Location: Irving, Texas

Job Type: Full-Time, one-year contract position

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Machinist to operate open tool mills and lathes with precision and expertise. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining and be comfortable working with various materials to produce high-quality components. Experience with CNC machining is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate open tool mills and lathes to machine components to exact specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to ensure accuracy.
• Perform quality checks on machined parts, adjusting settings as necessary.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace, adhering to company and industry safety standards.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments to optimize performance.
• Work collaboratively with engineering and production teams to meet deadlines and specifications.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in machining, with open tool mills and lathes.
• Strong understanding of machine operation, setup, and maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to precision.
• CNC experience is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
