Manufacturing Engineering Manager

Engineering Manager Requirements and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Strong leadership & Change Management experience.
• Pre-engineered metal building manufacturing experience.
• CAPEX (budgeting) design.
• This position will lead a team of engineers, CAD technicians, and detailers.
• Working knowledge of statistical techniques.
• Root cause analysis tools.
• Strong working knowledge of metal forming equipment and welding (MIG & TIG).
• Hands on experience and knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical and electronics.
• Develop an engineering strategy and implement initiatives to support the team in achieving business growth through production and quality goals.
• Collaborate with external vendors to meet production targets, including fostering vendor development to enhance throughput and streamline operations.
• Establish the strategic direction for the engineering team to promote organic growth while ensuring profitability and optimal resource utilization.
• Lead and nurture a high-performing engineering team through effective goal setting, performance management, and the development of production metrics to achieve overarching business objectives.
• Supervise mechanical engineers in production, inspection and review of tools.
• Ensuring quality and timeliness.
• Monitor and determine various staffing and training needs.
• Hire, train, and supervise engineering staff members.
• Ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
• Communicate and collaborate with other managers, suppliers, and contractors.
• Prepare and deliver various engineering-related presentations, both internally and externally
• Experience and proven ability to implement effective systems, processes, and metrics.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365 products and ability to learn and use ERP systems.
