Job Description

A premier wealth management and financial advisory firm in Houston is seeking a Director of Marketing to lead the firm’s brand strategy and elevate its market presence. This role requires a strategic, collaborative leader with strong communication and creative problem-solving skills.

The Director of Marketing will drive firm growth by leading integrated marketing initiatives, aligning messaging with business objectives, and enhancing brand visibility across digital and traditional channels. This individual will also play a key role in fostering client engagement, managing external vendor relationships, and reinforcing the firm’s reputation in the community.

Salary + Additional Benefits:

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with managing partners and advisors to drive lead generation, expand the prospect pipeline, and support overall firm growth.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with the firm’s vision and target clientele.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the external digital marketing agency to ensure aligned execution.
  • Shape and communicate a clear, compelling value proposition across all marketing channels and materials.
  • Strengthen the firm’s visibility through relationship-building with key stakeholders and external organizations.
  • Manage all digital and traditional marketing initiatives—web, PR, social media, email, events, and print—to maintain a unified brand voice.
  • Oversee the creation of thought leadership content such as white papers, blog posts, and articles.
  • Partner with the advisory team to enhance client experience and satisfaction.
  • Support advisors in developing tailored business development plans and social media presence(s).
  • Maintain the firm’s website, applying SEO best practices and analyzing performance data.
  • Assist with the planning and execution of client appreciation events, incorporating post-event surveys and insights.
  • Establish and track key marketing metrics; provide regular performance reporting and recommendations.
  • Explore and recommend new marketing opportunities with clear ROI justifications.
  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and the marketing budget to ensure efficiency and value.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
  • A minimum 5–7+ years of progressive marketing experience, including leadership and digital strategy ownership
  • Prior experience in financial services or other professional services industries (e.g., legal, real estate, accounting) required
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial, small-company environment
  • Strong collaboration skills and a team-oriented mindset
  • Proven success in designing and executing strategic marketing plans
  • Experience with public relations and media outreach
  • Event planning knowledge, from concept through execution
  • Excellent creative writing and presentation skills
  • Proficient in SEO, email marketing, paid search, social media, video, graphic design, and website management
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and cross-functional influence
  • Highly organized, self-driven, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Passionate about supporting financial advisors and contributing to firm growth
  • Innovative, creative thinker who brings fresh ideas to the table
