Job Description

Position Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Otolaryngologist (ENT Specialist) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in diagnosing, treating, and managing disorders of the ear, nose, throat, and related structures of the head and neck. The position offers the opportunity to provide both medical and surgical care to patients across a wide range of age groups and conditions.

Practice Details

  • Outpatient only practice
  • Office hours: Monday to Friday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm (last patient scheduled at 4:15 pm)

Key Responsibilities :

  • Diagnose and treat a wide variety of ENT conditions , including but not limited to ear infections, hearing loss, nasal and sinus issues, throat problems, swallowing disorders, voice disorders, and head and neck tumors.
  • Perform physical examinations , including endoscopic exams, to evaluate patients with ENT-related concerns.
  • Manage chronic conditions such as chronic sinusitis, allergic rhinitis, and sleep apnea.
  • Perform surgeries related to ear, nose, and throat disorders, such as tonsillectomies, adenoidectomies, nasal surgeries, endoscopic sinus surgeries, ear tube placements, and voice box surgeries.
  • Treat allergic rhinitis and other upper respiratory disorders through medical management and immunotherapy.
  • Provide non-surgical treatments such as medications, physical therapy, and other interventions for managing hearing loss, balance disorders, and speech disorders.
  • Collaborate with other specialists , such as audiologists, speech therapists, and pulmonologists, to offer comprehensive care for patients with complex conditions.
  • Provide preoperative and postoperative care for patients undergoing ENT-related surgeries.
  • Offer patient education regarding disease prevention, treatment options, and lifestyle changes for managing chronic ENT conditions.
  • Stay up to date on the latest advancements in ENT medicine and surgical techniques through continuous professional development and education.
  • Document patient care thoroughly and accurately in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Provide on-call services for emergency ENT consultations, including trauma care for patients with head, neck, and ear injuries.
  • Provide counseling for patients with hearing loss or speech impairments, including advising on the use of hearing aids or alternative communication methods when necessary.
  • Educate and train medical residents (if applicable), and participate in academic or research activities related to otolaryngology.

Required Qualifications :

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Otolaryngology .
  • Valid and unrestricted medical license in Arizona
  • Proven experience in diagnosing and treating a wide variety of ENT conditions, both surgically and non-surgically.
  • Strong surgical skills, with experience performing common ENT procedures, including endoscopic and minimally invasive techniques.
  • Expertise in diagnostic imaging (e.g., CT, MRI, X-ray) as related to ENT conditions.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex medical information to patients.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Fellowship training in pediatric otolaryngology , head and neck surgery , or sleep surgery .
  • Familiarity with robotic surgery or minimally invasive surgical techniques (preferred).
  • Experience in research or clinical trials related to ENT (optional).
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills (preferred, depending on patient population).
