POSITION

Title: Certified Medical Physicist (Ph.D. or M.S.)

Location: Dallas Metroplex, Texas

Term: Permanent, Full-time

open to travelers, must be Texas licensed.

Facilities & Equipment

• Varian TrueBeam, 2 Varian Clinacs (Novalis TX and 21iX)
• GE CT, Bravos HDR afterloader
• Mosaiq R&V (transitioning to ARIA by end of 2025)
• Eclipse, iPlan, MME, BrachyVision, VariSeed TPS
• Services: SRS, SBRT, TBI, TSET, HDR, LDR (prostate seed implants), radiopharmaceuticals (Xofigo, Lutathera)

Regional Group:

• 6 Radiation Oncology Centers
• Team includes 10 Medical Physicists, 10 Radiation Oncologists
• Active SBRT (5 centers), HDR (5 centers), TBI (2 centers), Radiopharmaceuticals (3 centers), CyberKnife (1 center)
• CAMPEP-accredited Physics Residency Program at 1 location

Responsibilities

• Provide a full range of on-site clinical medical physics support
• Collaborate with other centers for occasional on-site or remote support
• Ensure safe and effective use of advanced radiation oncology procedures and technologies

Preferred Experience

• Working knowledge of Varian linear accelerators and Bravos HDR afterloader
• Proficiency with Eclipse and Brain Lab TPS
• Familiarity with MOSAIQ R&V (transitioning to ARIA)
• Hands-on experience with HDR, SBRT, and SRS procedures
• Strong understanding of radiation safety principles

Qualifications

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Medical Physics (from a CAMPEP-accredited college/university)
• Completion of a CAMPEP-accredited residency program
• ABR board certification or in process of obtaining certification (recent residency graduates welcome)
• Eligible for a Texas state license in Medical Physics
• Demonstrated experience with SRS, SBRT, HDR
• Strong organizational, oral, and written communication skills
