Job Description

MRI Technologist II – Diagnostic Imaging

Location: Coral Gables, FL

Type of Work: In Office

Schedule: Full-Time, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Type of Contract: Permanent

Description:

The MRI Technologist II will be responsible for performing a variety of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures across all patient age groups. The role is essential for delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging that ensures accurate and timely diagnoses. This professional will actively participate in the department’s continuous quality improvement (CQI) initiatives , prioritize patient safety and satisfaction , and ensure compliance with established radiologic and safety standards .

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Perform MRI procedures following established protocols while ensuring patient safety and image quality .
  • Collaborate effectively with radiologists and healthcare teams to deliver precise imaging results.
  • Conduct patient assessments and provide clear explanations of procedures to ensure patient comfort.
  • Participate in the department's CQI processes and contribute to achieving clinical excellence .
  • Maintain MRI equipment and perform routine quality assurance checks .
  • Ensure adherence to OSHA, HIPAA , and all regulatory compliance requirements .
  • Engage in teamwork and collaboration to deliver patient-centered care.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an approved AMA Council on Education Program in Radiologic Technology.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (required).
  • ARRT Registered Technologist – Radiography (required).
  • ARRT Registered Technologist – Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) (required).
  • Minimum of 6 months preferred in an acute care setting .
  • New graduates with the required certifications are welcome to apply.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills .
  • Ability to operate advanced MRI equipment and troubleshoot common issues.
