Job Title: OCI - Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Role Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on Technology Lead with deep expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) data services and Power BI dashboard/report development. This role combines technical leadership with active development responsibilities, requiring a strong foundation in data engineering, cloud architecture, and business intelligence. Experience in the utility industry is a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Engineering & Architecture
• Design and implement scalable, secure data pipelines using OCI services such as:
o OCI Data Integration, OCI Data Flow, OCI Streaming
o Autonomous Data Warehouse, Oracle Exadata, Object Storage
• Apply Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers) for data lakehouse implementations.
• Ensure data quality, lineage, and governance using OCI Data Catalog, GoldenGate, and Data Safe.
• Perform hands-on development, testing, and deployment of data engineering solutions.
Business Intelligence & Reporting
• Lead the design and development of Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Translate business requirements into effective data visualizations and KPIs.
• Build optimized data models, DAX measures, and implement row-level security.
• Maintain and enhance existing reports and dashboards based on evolving business needs.
Integration Patterns
• Implement inbound integration patterns using APIs, file-based ingestion, and real-time streaming.
• Develop outbound integration patterns for data sharing with external systems and partners.
• Utilize Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) for seamless application connectivity.
Audit, Balance, and Control (ABC) Framework
• Design and implement ABC frameworks to ensure:
o Audit: Full traceability of data movements and transformations.
o Balance: Reconciliation of data across systems.
o Control: Data validation, exception handling, and monitoring using OCI Monitoring and Alarms.
Leadership & Collaboration
• Lead and mentor a team of data engineers and BI developers.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and IT teams to deliver data-driven solutions.
• Drive agile delivery practices and participate in sprint ceremonies.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in data engineering and business intelligence.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) data services.
• Proven expertise in Power BI development, including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, Python, and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Being hands-on is a must – this role requires active involvement in design, development, and troubleshooting.
