Job Description

Job Title: Oracle E-Business Suite DBA

Location: Philadelphia PA (100% Onsite)

Duration: Long-Term Contract

Rate: $50 to $65/ hour on W2 (Based on experience)

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive upgrade plan for Oracle EBS 12.1 to 12.2, including risk mitigation and rollback strategies
  • Perform technical assessments and design pre-upgrade validations
  • Evaluate and address impacts to the Basis2 water billing system
  • Plan and configure Oracle EBS 12.2 including WebLogic, Fusion Middleware, and ADOP (Online Patching)
  • Define database optimizations and support EBS 12.2 compatibility
  • Coordinate with the Basis2 vendor on customizations and retrofitting
  • Establish cloning, backup, and recovery processes for upgrade security
  • Develop and execute troubleshooting plans for post-upgrade performance and configuration issues
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure minimal disruption during the upgrade
  • Conduct training and documentation for internal stakeholders
  • Execute cutover planning and support final production deployment
  • Lead post-upgrade performance tuning, validation, and knowledge transfer

Required Qualifications

  • 7 years of hands-on experience as an Oracle E-Business Suite DBA working with both versions 12.1 and 12.2 on a Windows Server environment.
  • 7 years of experience with Oracle Database administration (11g, 12c, 19c), including RMAN, Data Guard, and performance tuning.
  • 5 years of experience performing Oracle EBS upgrades to 12.2, including expertise in ADOP (Online Patching), WebLogic, and Fusion Middleware.
  • 5 years of experience in cloning, patching, backup/recovery, and environment migrations in Oracle EBS.
  • 5 years of experience scripting and automating tasks within Windows environments.
  • 5 years of experience with Oracle Applications DBA utilities such as AutoConfig, ADOP, Rapid Clone, and related tools.
  • 4 years of experience conducting customization impact assessments and performing code remediation in an Oracle EBS environment.
  • 4 years of experience in Oracle security, concurrent processing, and application tier architecture.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • 4 years of experience with Oracle performance monitoring, tuning, and optimization.
  • 4 years of experience providing technical guidance to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Certification in Oracle DBA or Oracle EBS (preferred but not required).
