Pride Health is hiring a phlebotomist IV to support our client’s medical facility based in Elkridge, MD 21075. This is a 3-month assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Position Name: Phlebotomist IV

Pay rate: $25/hr -$28/hr

Location: 8186 Lark Brown Road Elkridge, MD 21075

Duration: 3-month contact with possible extension

Shift: 8am-4:30pm M-F

Job Description:

Phlebotomist – Key Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge, and record maintenance data
• Collect, store, and package specimens per standard procedures and protocols
• Explain venipuncture and specimen collection clearly and courteously to patients
• Use straight or butterfly needles and follow physician’s orders accurately
• Match lab requisitions with specimen tubes and ensure accurate labeling
• Maintain specimen integrity through correct storage and transport practices
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations and attend required trainings
• Answer phone inquiries and communicate lab results when necessary

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification (as required by state)
• 5+ years of phlebotomy experience in a fast-paced setting
• High School Diploma or GED
• Basic Microsoft Office proficiency
