Primary Services is excited to announce the role of Procurement Specialist for our client, a prominent player in the global energy sector. In this role, you will manage contract renewals, execute sourcing strategies, and support operational continuity for multiple power generation sites. Your expertise will help drive cost efficiencies, ensure compliance, and strengthen supplier partnerships in a dynamic, high-impact environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead procurement activities for Operations & Maintenance contracts supporting integrated power plants.
  • Develop and execute long-term sourcing strategies for critical service areas.
  • Coordinate cross-functional input from legal, technical, and finance teams to ensure alignment and mitigate risk.
  • Negotiate and manage vendor relationships to secure cost-effective, compliant agreements.
  • Track and report spend, KPIs, and cost savings opportunities.
  • Ensure adherence to procurement policies, procedures, and contract requirements.
  • Act as the primary contact for U.S. procurement initiatives, collaborating with global procurement teams.
  • Monitor supplier performance and maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of procurement, sourcing, or contract management experience.
  • Experience in energy, utilities, or large infrastructure projects strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of O&M contract structures and vendor management practices.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and implement cost savings initiatives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; ERP or procurement system experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
