Title: Founding Product Engineer (iOS, UX & Creative Data Experiences)

Type: Part-Time to Full-Time (Equity-Only until funding)

MyModel is building the first app for meaningful data ownership.

We’re reimagining what it means to see , understand , and own your digital self. In a world where your data is constantly extracted without consent, MyModel is flipping the script — enabling users to visualize and monetize their data directly , with full transparency and control.

Think: if Figma, Clear, and Apple’s privacy team built a tool for your online identity. We’re designing a platform that makes personal data feel personal — beautiful, ethical, and creatively empowering.

We see a future where anyone can earn near-passive income from the valuable data they already produce. 

You’ll lead the creation of our iOS-native product experience — crafting the visual and functional front-end of how people interact with their own data. You'll build fluid interfaces, shape intuitive data visualizations, and influence the product architecture from day one. You’ll also help define our technical culture — one rooted in collaboration, curiosity, and conviction.

This is a design-forward engineering role where aesthetics, UX fluidity, and architectural intuition all matter.

• Wants to build for users , not just stakeholders

• Sees engineering as a medium for product storytelling

• Believes in transparent consent, user-first design, and accessible technology

• Gets excited about early-stage ambiguity and shared creation

• The iOS MVP: mobile app with real-time data interaction, onboarding, and visualization

• Interfaces for user-owned data models , timelines, and pattern recognition

• A data visualization system for identity and behavior patterns (think: Clear + Stripe + Pinterest)

• Elegant, consent-driven UI components for permissions, payouts, and profile control

• Collaborate directly with the CEO and Founding Engineer (ex-Microsoft ML & data infra)

• Tight feedback loops with the founding team — shaping product and mission together

You’re part engineer , part product designer , and part creative technologist . You don’t just ship code — you obsess over the feel of it. You have a visual imagination and a mind for system architecture.

Must-Haves:

• Experience shipping polished iOS apps (Swift / SwiftUI preferred)

• Design intuition and UX/interaction fluency — you care about motion, feedback, and micro-interactions

• Data visualization experience — whether it’s ChartKit, D3, Lottie, or your own system

• Great communicator who thrives in collaborative, curiosity-driven teams

• Comfort working in ambiguous early-stage environments

• Creative portfolio or side project that shows your ability to shape product experiences (not just code execution)

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience at an early-stage startup or building 0→1 products

• Experience across the stack (APIs, Firebase, GCP, GraphQL, Node)

• Animation or visual storytelling work (Lottie, Framer, Figma plugin dev)

• Background in privacy tech, fintech, or personal data platforms

• Interest in building for a broad consumer base (not just dev tools)

• Equity-first until we close our pre-seed round (2-4mo).

• Founding equity grant with milestone-based vesting

• Upon raise: full-time salary (~$90k+)

• Start part-time (10–20 hrs/week), convert to full-time post-raise

• Remote with strong preference for NYC co-building days
