Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong engineering background to lead projects within our Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and Cloud Engineering teams. This role requires a deep understanding of team dynamics, technical interdependencies, and effective collaboration in a multi-product, cross-functional environment.

The ideal candidate is someone who began their career as a software engineer and has successfully transitioned into a leadership or managerial position, enabling them to bridge the gap between technology and business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end project delivery for SRE and Cloud Engineering initiatives across multiple product lines.
  • Develop, manage, and prioritize the product backlog in alignment with business goals and technical feasibility.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams, architects, and product stakeholders to ensure alignment on scope, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Clearly communicate the product vision, roadmap, and requirements to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and reviews.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, risks, dependencies, and impediments.
  • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions through effective resource planning and risk management.
  • Foster a collaborative environment and drive continuous improvement in project execution practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8–12 years of total IT experience, with at least 3-5 years in project management roles.
  • Hands-on experience or a strong foundational understanding of cloud technologies, DevOps, and/or SRE practices.
  • Prior experience as a software engineer is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Adept at navigating cross-functional teams and fostering collaboration in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP, CSM, or equivalent project management certification.
  • Exposure to tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Git, and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience in managing projects related to cloud infrastructure, reliability engineering, or platform engineering.
