Job Summary
The Developer’s Representative (Project Manager) will serve as a key member of the development team, responsible for overseeing construction execution across a portfolio of real estate projects—beginning with a high-profile student housing development. This role will represent ownership in the field and with vendors, ensuring successful delivery of projects that meet budget, schedule, design, and quality standards.
While initially focused on a large-scale student housing development, the Developer’s Representative (Project Manager) will support construction activities across other active and future projects within the firm’s portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Oversight
Serve as the developer’s on-site representative to monitor and manage construction progress on active projects.
Ensure project delivery aligns with design intent, construction documents, budget, and schedule.
Coordinate with construction managers, contractors, consultants, and internal development staff.
Cross-Project Coordination
Support oversight of multiple projects at various stages (pre-construction, construction, closeout).
Develop consistent reporting tools and benchmarks for schedule, budget, and quality across projects.
Assist in managing vendor relationships and tracking consultant and contractor performance portfolio-wide.
Team & Vendor Liaison
Facilitate communication between internal stakeholders, third-party consultants, and general contractors.
Review and support resolution of RFIs, change orders, and coordination issues across disciplines.
Ensure alignment of work scopes, sequencing, and critical path management among all vendors.
Budget, Schedule & Quality Control
Monitor project cost reporting, support budget tracking, and flag deviations for resolution.
Validate construction schedules and recommend adjustments to maintain milestone compliance.
Champion quality assurance processes and enforce construction best practices and safety standards.
Documentation & Closeout
Track project documentation, including meeting notes, submittals, punch lists, and turnover packages.
Manage closeout workflows including commissioning, warranty documentation, and occupancy approvals.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested by management.
Periodic Travel Required.
Qualifications
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum 5+ years of experience in construction or development oversight, with a strong preference for experience in multifamily, student housing, hospitality, or mixed-use development.
Proficient in managing construction managers, general contractors, and consultant teams.
Strong working knowledge of construction practices, codes, and permitting processes.
Proficiency in construction technology platforms.
Impeccable integrity with desire to succeed in a high growth / changing environment.
