Description:

We are seeking a qualified Maintenance Technician to join our ranch in Somerville, TX. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on all property facilities and improvements. The role requires proactive problem-solving to reduce the frequency of repairs and to prolong the life of existing fixtures and equipment. Additionally, maintaining the security of company tools, equipment, and property is essential, along with accurate record-keeping and communication.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on all buildings, facilities, and property improvements.
  • Perform necessary tasks and repairs to keep facilities operational.
  • Solicit proposals and recommend contractors as needed for large or specialized repairs or projects.
  • Collaborate with the ranch operations team to prioritize and coordinate maintenance tasks.
  • Complete projects as needed under challenging conditions.
  • Identify potential problems and make the appropriate recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Follow all maintenance calendars and service requirements.
  • Organize and maintain shop cleanliness.
  • Participate actively in team efforts to achieve company goals.
  • Adhere to company Health & Safety guidelines and report any deviations to the Ranch Operations Manager.
  • Other responsibilities as outlined by the Ranch Operations Manager or Corporate.
Requirements:

EDUCATION AND REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • High School diploma / GED equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional maintenance experience.
  • Welding experience a plus.
  • Valid Texas Drivers License

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS :

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general technical procedures, manuals, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to keep reports and maintenance records.
  • Ability to read construction plans and documents.
  • Valid Texas driver's license.
