Job Description

The Fountain Group is a national staffing firm, currently seeking an R&D Technician II for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Minneapolis/Plymouth, MN 55442 . Details of the position are as follows:

Shift Information:

• Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Flexible, Fully Onsite, W2 Position!
• Pay range starts at $30/hr!
• 12-month contract to start, extension or conversion beyond that is based on performance and budget at that time.

Job Description:

• Position is primarily responsible for performing mechanical, electrical, conditioning, length, OD, and visual testing on medical devices (e.g., heart catheters) in a lab setting.
• Position will also be responsible for accurately documenting test results using good documentation practices, following detailed written/verbal test instructions, and maintaining effective communication with engineers.
• Position will be in charge of adhering to safety protocols, utilizing lab equipment and tools (such as calipers, MTS, multimeters, digital thermometers, force gauges, Cognex, LabView, and hand tools), and maintaining an 85% lab / 15% desk time work balance.

Qualifications:

• AA degree, technical certification, or post-high school education is Required!
• 1–4 years of relevant experience in medical device testing, R&D, or product assembly is Required!
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail is Required!
• Ability to follow test methods, manage time, and work independently is Required!
• Experience in medical device or pharmaceutical industry is Preferred!
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience drafting documents is Preferred!
