Pure Lithium is looking for a Research Associate to join our Battery Development Team. In this role, the individual will work closely with research associates and scientists to build R&D batteries and support general lab experiments. In addition to technical experience, this position requires a willingness to learn new tools, methods, and techniques as needed for the job. The ideal candidate should be proficient with various lab equipment and be comfortable working across different projects in a laboratory environment. The candidate must also be prepared to do repetitive tasks with attention to detail to ensure excellent quality control and reproducibility of data.

Responsibilities:

• Work in a glovebox to mix electrolytes, build cells, and conduct other relevant experiments.
• Work with battery cyclers to test cells.
• Responsible for data collection and documentation of test results.
• Write, update, and follow SOPs to fabricate cells and related components.
• Utilize programs such as Microsoft Excel to analyze data and understand trends.
• Maintain laboratory workspace and follow all safety guidelines in the lab.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience working as a technician, lab assistant, research associate, or similar.
• Willingness to learn new techniques and methods.
• A detail-oriented person who can work on many projects simultaneously.
• Desire to work for a fast-paced, high-energy start-up company.
• Demonstrated ability to provide creative engineering and materials solutions to unique technical problems.
• BS in chemistry, physics, mechanical engineering, or a similar field.
