Robotics Welder Technician

Location: Atkins, VA

Pay: $40–$50/hour (DOE)

Employment Type: Contract/Contract-to-Hire

Per Diem: $40/day

Premier Staffing Solution is seeking an experienced Robotic Welder to join our team The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating, programming, and maintaining robotic welding systems to ensure high-quality welds in a production environment. This role requires attention to detail, technical expertise, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, program, and operate robotic welding systems (e.g., Fanuc, ABB, Yaskawa/Motoman, KUKA).
• Load and unload parts, ensuring proper fixture and alignment.
• Monitor welding processes and inspect welds for quality, adjusting parameters as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on robotic welding equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and work instructions to meet project specifications.
• Collaborate with team members to improve welding processes and production efficiency.
• Follow all safety procedures and quality standards to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements:

✅ Experience in robotic welding operation and programming (1-3+ years preferred)

✅ Knowledge of welding techniques (MIG, TIG, resistance welding, etc.)

✅ Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols

✅ Familiarity with robotic welding brands (Fanuc, ABB, Yaskawa, KUKA, etc.)

✅ Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude

✅ Welding certification (AWS, equivalent) a plus

✅Must know OTC robots and weld controllers

✅Must be able to program OTC robots

✅Weld path touch ups

✅Aluminum welding capabilities

✅Knowledgeable with PLC's & integration

✅Vision system expertise (Servo Robot)

✅Process troubleshooting skills

✅MIG & TIG welding experience

✅Fabrication skills

✅Fanuc & ABB robot knowledge is a plus

Job Type: Full-time | Temp-to-Hire | Contract

Schedule: 8-10 hour shifts | Monday–Friday | Overtime & Weekends as needed
