The Company Our client, one of the nation’s largest banks and financial services providers, is looking to add a Senior Business Banking Relationship Manager to their team in Denver, CO . The Opportunity
The Senior Business Banking Relationship Manager will introduce a full range of core lending and deposit products, differentiated capabilities and comprehensive solutions to meet client needs and to exceed customer service expectations. This role is focused on acquiring new relationships, as well as managing and growing existing relationships. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong risk management acumen including complex credit, operational and compliance risks to act as first line of defense while adhering to profitability standards.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities of the role include:
Serve as the Trusted Financial Advisor and Business Partner to clients with complex lending, deposit and cash management needs
Drive a focused growth and business development effort by creating and maintaining a clear and holistic understanding of the client's or prospect's business/industry
Maintain active prospecting efforts, including identification, qualification and calling to develop an active Center of Influence (COI) referral network
Assemble a cross-functional team with internal business partners to quickly respond to customer requests and to identify cross-sell opportunities
Lead and participate in credit processes and assume accountability for all portfolio activities/issues ensuring sound asset quality, including underwriting, structuring and portfolio management activities
Comply with all bank policies and procedures
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess the following:
Bachelor’s degree in business/related field
Five to seven years of small business, business banking and/or commercial lending experience.
Ability to attract, grow and retain client relationships with businesses that have annual sales in the $3-10 million range
Demonstrated sales and business development experience with proven results including client research, sales planning and ability to close a sale
Excellent credit/analytical skills and proven ability to effectively manage credit needs and mitigate risks of the loan portfolio
Strong customer service skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with strong presentation skills
