Operational & Technical Expertise
- Extensive experience managing large-scale distribution networks, including warehousing, transportation, and inventory.
- Proficiency in WMS, TMS, LMS, and other supply chain technologies; experience with Manhattan systems is a plus.
- Deep understanding of inventory control, demand forecasting, and replenishment.
- Skilled in Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies with a focus on KPI development and performance tracking.
Industry Knowledge
- In-depth understanding of distribution trends, challenges, and emerging technologies.
- Familiarity with various distribution models (e.g., DTC, B2B, omnichannel).
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance in transportation and shipping.
Vendor & Partner Management
- Proven ability to manage vendor relationships and align them with business goals.
- Skilled in contract negotiation and SLA development.
- Experience integrating third-party technologies and streamlining logistics operations.
Project & Change Management
- Successful leadership of large-scale distribution projects, including system upgrades and network redesigns.
- Expertise in change management for scaling and optimization initiatives.
- Experience executing ramp-up plans for seasonal demand, product launches, or geographic expansion.
Financial Acumen
- Ability to analyze financial performance and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Proficiency in KPI monitoring to improve logistics efficiency.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling for scalable operations.
Team Development & Collaboration
- Experience building and leading high-performing distribution teams.
- Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration with leadership and business units.
- Expertise in staff training and development aligned with evolving operational needs.
Risk Management & Problem Solving
- Skilled in identifying and mitigating distribution and supply chain risks.
- Strong problem-solving abilities for complex operational challenges.
- Decisive in adjusting strategies based on data and market conditions.
Facility Management
- Experience managing large distribution facilities and optimizing space utilization.
- Knowledge of facility standards, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field; Master's preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in distribution/logistics/supply chain, with 5+ years in leadership.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data tools.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies is a plus.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-priority environment.
