Job Summary

The Senior Electrical Engineer will work in a fast-paced multi-discipline team environment responsible for designing building systems and producing construction documentation for commercial and residential projects in higher education, multifamily, commercial interiors, high-rise, and healthcare markets. We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Electrical Engineer to be part of our firm.

In this role, you will

  • Design electrical systems including lighting, power, fire alarm, and electrical distribution.
  • Develop calculations for lighting systems and associated controls.
  • Develop electrical system design calculations.
  • Prepare detailed design documents in REVIT.
  • Perform QA/QC design work.
  • Lead a project team and managing projects.
  • Coordinate with Owners and Architects.
  • Coordinate work with other disciplines.
  • Complete code compliance research.
  • Oversee and provide guidance to junior engineers.
  • Assist in the procurement of new work, including the development of client relations.

You Will Be a Great Fit If

  • You have a minimum of 8 years design experience.
  • You have a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • You possess a Professional Engineer license, PE.
  • You have experience with complex institutional, high-rise mixed-use and commercial projects.
  • You have advanced knowledge and understanding of codes, standards and design guidelines.
  • You have Project Management experience.

Skills/abilities

  • Excellent work ethic and attitude.
  • Interpersonal communication skills, combined with organizational skills, the ability to plan, balance and prioritize work.
  • Ability to lead a team as well as work as part of a team.
  • Required proficiency in Revit and MS Office.

Location : Chicago, IL (Hybrid)

Compensation : $90,000 - $120,000
