Hijack Poker is searching for a talented and experienced Senior Unity Developer to join our team and play a vital role in growing our products. As a Senior Unity Developer and Full Stack Engineer at Hijack, you will play a key role in building, maintaining, and enhancing our cutting-edge online poker platform. You'll work closely with a talented team of engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver high-quality features and a world-class user experience. This role requires a strong understanding of both front-end and back-end technologies, a passion for building scalable and performant systems, and a deep interest in the online gaming industry.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, maintain and improve upon our unity game components for user experience and websocket consumption and integration to our nodejs game engine.
• Drive best practice conversation and implementation across the engineering organization.
• Coordinate and align with domain engineering leads on integration touchpoints.
• Implement tooling for performance profiling, observability, feature flagging, and error handling.
• Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code using best practices and industry standards.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in a timely and efficient manner.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in web development and online gaming.
• Implement features and functionalities according to the game design documents.
• Lead developer SDLC initiatives for code quality and delivery.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5-7+ years of experience in game development or a similar field as a Unity Game Developer
• A minimum of 1 shipped game.
• Strong experience with C# and the Unity game engine (version 2021 or later).
• Proficiency with Javascript, Typescript, NodeJS language and ecosystem.
• Experienced with cloud concepts and microservice engineering.
• Passion for games and a deep understanding of game mechanics.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Experience with Websocket APIs and API design principles.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience working with and being the lead of offshore teams
