Job Description

LaSalle Network has partnered with a growing digital agency in their search for a SEO & Client Engagement Specialist .

This person will drive organic growth for clients in the eCommerce space while building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

In this role, you’ll lead technical and content optimization strategies that boost search rankings, increase visibility, and deliver sustainable traffic to the online stores of their clients. You’ll also serve as the primary SEO point of contact for clients, ensuring strategies align with their goals, expectations are managed, and results are clearly communicated.

This is a long term contract opportunity here in Chicago, 30-40 hours a week. 
Full-time hours and onsite 1-2 days a week.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and execute SEO strategies to grow organic traffic and conversions.

  • Serve as the main SEO contact for clients, managing relationships, communicating performance updates, and setting clear expectations.

  • Conduct site audits and fix technical SEO issues (site speed, indexing, mobile).

  • Optimize site architecture, metadata, internal linking, and structured data.

  • Perform keyword research, competitive analysis, and identify content gaps.

  • Partner with content teams to create and optimize high-ranking, customer-focused copy.

  • Track performance with tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, and SEMrush; provide regular, data-driven reports and recommendations.

  • Stay ahead of SEO trends, algorithm updates, AI-driven search innovations, and eCommerce best practices.


What We’re Looking For:

  • 3+ years of hands-on SEO experience, ideally in eCommerce.

  • Proven success improving rankings, traffic, and conversions.

  • Strong relationship management skills with experience working directly with clients or stakeholders.

  • Excellent communication skills for translating SEO data into actionable, business-friendly insights.

  • Strong knowledge of technical SEO, search algorithms, and site architecture.

  • Proficiency with SEO tools (SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Analytics, Search Console, etc.).

  • Experience with CMS platforms like Shopify, Magento, or WordPress.
