Responsibilities: The Service Engineer will utilize over two years of technical service experience to maintain and troubleshoot advanced analytical systems, including high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC/UPLC) and single quadrupole mass spectrometry equipment. Primary duties include:

• Performing scheduled maintenance, repairs, and validation/qualification tasks on a variety of liquid chromatography (LC) and LC/MS systems from different manufacturers.
• Setting up and fine-tuning hardware, software, and network setups at customer facilities.
• Keeping customers informed about service activities and outlining next steps when necessary.
• Completing service documentation, expense tracking, and administrative duties promptly and accurately.
• Sharing diagnostic insights and updates with supervisors and team members to speed up issue resolution.
• Acting as a key point of contact between customers and leadership to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Promoting customer satisfaction by offering guidance on equipment upkeep and settings that could affect performance.
• Quickly reporting complex service issues to leadership and working together to devise solutions.
• Providing training or guidance to junior technicians on HPLC/UPLC system maintenance when directed by management.
• Striving to achieve or surpass established performance goals.
• Taking on additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or technical discipline such as Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Engineering.
• Prior experience with analytical laboratory instruments is a plus.
• Must be capable of lifting and moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
