Job Description

Responsibilities:

• The Quality Control Manager – Civil Engineer will conduct independent technical reviews for land development, stormwater management, utility design, and erosion control.
• Identify and resolve design or constructability issues through cost-effective, value-engineered solutions.
• Ensure accuracy and quality of all technical deliverables.
• The Quality Control Manager – Civil Engineer will collaborate with project managers and multidisciplinary teams throughout project development.
• Verify that design and code requirements are properly defined and documented.
• Lead technical training sessions and mentor staff to support continuous development.
• Provide strategic guidance on design standards, production quality, and technical best practices.
• The Quality Control Manager – Civil Engineer will evaluate staff performance to identify training needs; report findings to Head of QA.
• Assist in developing training materials and improving design tools, processes, and workflows.
• Manage deadlines and balance workload effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• The Quality Control Manager – Civil Engineer will support future team leadership and management responsibilities.
• Travel to other office locations as needed.

Qualifications:

• The Quality Control Manager – Civil Engineer must hold a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering .
• Must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in civil site design , with a focus on residential, commercial, industrial, or office developments.
• Must have experience from an engineering consulting background.
• The Quality Control Manager – Civil Engineer must have 5+ years of leadership experience.
• A Professional Engineer (PE) license is a strong plus.
• Must be proficient in AutoCAD and Land Development Desktop .
• Experience with Bluebeam for markup and review.
• The Quality Control Manager – Civil Engineer must have advanced capabilities in civil site design , including grading, drainage, and stormwater management.
• Strong expertise in utility design , including pump stations and force mains.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project).
• Must be a LOCAL CANDIDATE
• Must have a stable work history
