Work Environment: Hybrid (3 days on site, 2 days off)

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Engineer to join our dynamic team. This position involves working on production code, designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced algorithms for the processing and analysis of electrophysiological data. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bioinformatics and physiological signal processing, with a proven track record in research and development.

Responsibilities:

  • Algorithm Development: Design and implement robust algorithms for the processing and analysis of electrophysiological data.
  • Data Processing Pipeline: Maintain and improve our DSP data processing pipeline to ensure high performance and reliability.
  • Data Analysis: Develop and optimize algorithms to generate meaningful measures from electrophysiological data.
  • Code Quality: Write industrial-strength code with a focus on performance, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, researchers, and software engineers, to integrate new features and improvements.
  • Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation for developed algorithms and processes.
  • R&D: Stay current with the latest advancements in DSP, bioinformatics, and physiological signal processing, and apply this knowledge to ongoing projects.

Qualifications:

  • Education: PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in DSP, with a focus on electrophysiological data.
  • Skills:
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or MATLAB.
  • Strong understanding of digital signal processing techniques and algorithms.
  • Experience with bioinformatics and physiological signal processing.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a production environment, developing and maintaining industrial-strength code.
  • Knowledge of machine learning techniques and their application to signal processing.
  • Experience with cloud-based data processing and storage solutions.
  • Strong research and development skills with a track record of published work in relevant fields
