Apply now and become a vital part of the UPMC Somerset family! **Responsibilities:** + Actively participates in clinical development and RN residency programs for new hires, seeking opportunities to learn from experienced nurses. Uses feedback from peers, preceptors, and leaders to improve practice and shows enthusiasm for continuous learning. + Identifies patient and family education needs and provides basic education to support care. Pursues professional development through nursing organization memberships and regular reading of professional literature. + Demonstrates basic research knowledge and its impact on practice by asking questions and participating in unit-based journal clubs. Shows understanding of how quality and innovation affect patient satisfaction, safety, and clinical outcomes. + Uses basic nursing knowledge and skills within Relationship-Based Care to meet patient and family needs. Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing, and demonstrates critical thinking in identifying clinical, social, safety, and spiritual issues. + Demonstrates accountability for professional development and quality patient care. Recommends improvements in clinical care and workplace health, and participates in change initiatives. + 1 year interventional Cath Lab, Emergency, or ICU nursing experience. + BSN preferred. Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: + Registered Nurse (RN) OR Temporary Practice Permit (TPP) + Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) + Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) + CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire. + Act 34 with renewal _*Current licensure either in the state where the facility is located or, if the facility is in a state covered by the multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) agreement, a multistate license issued by a participating NLC state.
