Harford Community College is looking for an innovative and passionate Student Belonging Specialist to join our team and help us drive student success through equity, inclusion, and engagement.

In this role, you’ll:

• Support underrepresented students through targeted outreach, support services, and inclusive programming
• Lead campus equity and belonging initiatives, including heritage month celebrations and affinity group development
• Collaborate across departments to connect students to academic support and campus resources
• Serve as a mentor, advocate, and campus leader to foster a welcoming and inclusive culture
• Supervise a Student Peer Leader and manage programming budgets
• Collect and analyze student engagement data to guide continuous improvement
• This position is key to supporting HCC’s vision of being a regional leader in education and workforce development, offering transformative programs that fuel individual growth and shared prosperity.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Higher Education, College Student Personnel Administration, or a related field
• At least 1 year of experience in student retention, engagement, or student affairs
• 1 year of supervisory experience
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• A commitment to equity, student success, and cultivating belonging
• Tech-savviness with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, etc.)
• Willingness to work evenings/weekends for events, trips, and commencement
