About Alto:

Alto is on a mission to redefine the rideshare experience for passengers, drivers, and employees alike. Through our business model of professional employee drivers and a dedicated fleet of luxury vehicles, we are turning rides into exceptional experiences by delivering industry-leading safety, consistency, and hospitality. We operate as an independent rideshare app in Dallas and Houston, and as Uber’s premier fleet partner in Los Angeles and Miami.

Job Description:

Alto is seeking a dynamic and experienced Training Manager to lead our nationwide driver training program and manage our fast-growing team of hourly trainers. This role is critical to maintaining Alto’s high standards for safety and hospitality while we rapidly scale.

You’ll be responsible for managing training programs, coaching & developing frontline training staff, and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure a seamless onboarding experience for hundreds of new drivers each week. You’ll need to be a strong leader, an exceptional communicator, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. You should have experience managing high-performing hourly teams, ideally remotely, and a passion for training and development.

This role is based in Dallas, TX and requires frequent travel (30-50%), particularly as you ramp up in the role or when we launch new markets.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage and coach a growing team of 20+ hourly driver trainers across four markets
  • Ensure that new driver training is delivered consistently, efficiently, and to Alto’s high standards for safety and hospitality.
  • Identify and implement improvements to training processes, tools, and content
  • Partner with the Recruiting, Operations, and Content teams to meet hiring and training goals
  • Track and report on key training metrics (e.g., quality, efficiency, cost, trainer performance)
  • Create a high-performance culture for trainers and foster their professional development
  • Stay up to speed on industry trends and best practices for training and adult learning

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5–7 years of experience in training, operations, or learning & development
  • Experience leading and scaling hourly teams, ideally in a multi-location or remote setting
  • Strong project management and process improvement skills
  • Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and solving problems in real time
  • Based in Dallas, with flexibility to travel nationally (30–50%)

What You’ll Get:

  • Competitive salary, bonus, and equity package
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance + 401(k) with employer match
  • Unlimited PTO
  • A key leadership role in shaping Alto’s driver experience and operational success
