Job Description

As a Traveling Superintendent, you’ll oversee ground-up commercial construction projects across various sectors—automotive, healthcare, industrial, office, retail, and senior living—managing projects valued up to $20 million. This role involves extensive travel to multiple project sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Oversight : Manage all on-site activities throughout each project’s lifecycle.
  • Scheduling & Budget Compliance : Ensure projects adhere to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Subcontractor Coordination : Oversee subcontractors and enforce safety protocols.
  • Scheduling : Develop and update project schedules to avoid delays.
  • Quality Assurance : Conduct inspections and resolve any quality issues promptly.
  • Budget Assistance : Support budget management and forecasting.
  • Client & Stakeholder Liaison : Serve as the primary on-site contact.
  • Documentation : Maintain project records and provide regular progress reports.

Qualifications:

  • Experience : 3–10 years as a Superintendent in ground-up commercial construction.
  • Technical Skills : Proficient in reading blueprints and using construction software (e.g., Procore, MS Project).
  • Certifications : OSHA 30-hour certification preferred.
  • Travel : Must be willing to travel frequently.
  • Leadership : Strong leadership and communication skills.
