Trust Operations Specialist - Legal - Boston, MA
We are seeking candidates for a Trust Operations Specialist position with a prestigious law firm located in Boston, MA. This position will provide operational support to Trustee, Clients, and their Internal Wealth & Trust team. The Trust Operations Specialist will be responsible for processing complex trust accounts, overseeing reconciliations, and coordinating financial transactions. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of trust operations experience within professional services.
This is a direct hire position that will pay $90-110K on a base salary (depending on experience). This position is required to be onsite 4 days per week in their Boston office.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate account openings, closures, and updates, including tax reporting and required documentation.
Provide dedicated support to Trustees and Clients, ensuring a seamless service experience.
Assist clients with online access, registration, and use of account management tools.
Manage complex cash transactions, including disbursements, loan and mortgage payments, deposits, and reconciliations.
Oversee trade settlements, position monitoring, and free activity transactions.
Administer specialized trust functions, including trustee fee processing and tax-related payments.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and strict adherence to internal policies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; experience in trust practices a plus.
3+ years of experience in trust operations, financial services, or a related discipline.
Experience with Advent, APX, Moxy, InvestCloud, and Unity/G+ preferred.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and consistently meet expectations.
Solid knowledge of banking operations, compliance frameworks, and financial systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Detail-oriented with sound judgment and strong problem-solving skills.
